Behind the brand is Melody, whose love for fashion began in childhood, long before she understood what it meant to pursue a dream. She studied fashion design and marketing with a clear vision to create pieces that would make women feel confident and unforgettable.

But life asked something different of her.

As she built her family, Melody placed her dream to one side, choosing instead to care for others. She worked as a childminder, supporting children and young adults with challenging behaviours, work that was meaningful, but often exhausting, requiring deep patience, resilience, and emotional strength. Opportunities in fashion felt distant, and slowly, her dream became something she carried quietly within.

Then came a turning point, one that forced her to stop and rethink everything.

What could have been the end became a beginning.

Returning to fashion wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. It was a return to herself.

Today, Kembani is the result of that journey. Named in honour of her late father, who passed at just 45, the brand carries a deeper meaning, a reminder of how fragile time is, and how important it is to pursue what lives in your heart.
